Julia’s Story

Julia is a native of Northeast Ohio. She grew up studying ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop, pointe and partnering. She began her training under Jeanne Mahaffey and continued years later under Mitchel Federan, Inna Stabrova and Dmitriy Tuboltsev. Julia attended Jackson School for the Arts in order to further develop her education in all avenues of the arts. It was there that she taught dance classes to young adults with special needs and discovered her love for teaching dance.

Julia is a proud graduate of Pace University’s BFA Commercial Dance program in New York City. She had the privilege of studying under professionals Rhonda Miller, Scott Jovovich, Lauren Gaul, Alexandra Damiani, Jessica Hendricks, Dee Caspary and Michael Cusumano, among many others. During her senior year at Pace, Julia’s class studied in Los Angeles for three weeks under Mandy Moore and Jen Hamilton, where they learned how to specifically dance and choreograph for camera. Currently back in Ohio, Julia works as a dance educator and choreographer at New Focus Dance Academy. In her spare time, she works with Claymore Pictures on local music videos as on-screen talent and choreographer. She is currently available for bookings upon request.
